We took a tiny, terrifying, propeller plane from Seattle to Redmond, Oregon today to get to Bend. Regardless of how much we travel, I’m not a good flyer–and never will be–and those planes make me incredibly nervous. The baby thought we were being propelled by giant ceiling fans (which they are) and had a blast.
Before we went to the airport we met up with John’s brother, who works as an engineer for Apple, at the Apple campus cafe. It felt like being in a super cool hipster college (except everyone can afford an Apple Watch), the food was CHEAP, 5$ for a large green juice, 4$ for a giant thing of French toast and it made me question all my life decisions. Apple, are you hiring?
Because of the baby’s stomach bug from Friday to Tuesday, we had to take laundry to a service to get it washed. Of course the baby is also allergic to whatever detergent they used. So we have to do it again.
I bought myself these Valentine’s Day chocolates at the Seattle airport. Valentine’s Day is looking pretty spicy…
Sometimes I feel guilty traveling and going to all these beautiful places, when all I can think about is how I can’t wait to get home and catch up on my shows.
This trip was definitely way too ambitious. I’m exhausted. And we still have two more days and a flight home. When our baby is older she’s going to look in her baby book and be annoyed that we took her to 7 states and 2 countries before she knew her name. But she’ll definitely have bragging rights over her potential brother(s) and sister(s). Once we have more kids, the big trips will be limited to the grocery store.
Do you ever wonder if you’ve been on the exact same airplane before? How many airplanes are there?
We saw the same dad and son at the Phoenix airport, the Super Bowl and Fisherman’s Wharf. I wonder how many people we live parallel lives with?
But if I see dad/son again, I’m calling the cops.
I never posted pictures from my San Francisco run. It was such a nice change of pace (literally) doing hill work. Between the incline, yesterday’s speed workout, and carrying 12000000 pounds of stuff, I’m struggling in the day-to-day.
Of course, no Football related trip would be complete without the greatest football player of all time. (Number 10 on the Giants, in case you thought I meant a different Manning).
