Thursday Thoughts

The clocks this week have been ticking at the pace of maple syrup. If I didn’t have a watch to correct me, I would swear my workdays are 15 hours. Even the nights seem long, and I’ve only been getting about 5 and a half hours of sleep. It might be because we have a big trip coming up so time will slow down now and speed up for vacation. Typical.

But I think I like this part of the year. Football is exciting again, my shows are back (Younger–please watch this show if you haven’t, it’s Hillary Duff’s comeback and it’s so funny–PLL and Parks and Rec final season on Netflix), the days are starting to get longer, but the weather is still cold and perfect for running, and there’s no stress about holidays. Except Valentines Day. Ugh. Is that still a thing once you’re married?

Did anyone read about the fangirl who is ACTUALLY dating her celebrity crush? They met the way young people meet these days. She stalked him on Twitter, and he followed her back and they tweeted their way into true love. Can you imagine if you had dated the celebrities you had fan-girled? My high school crush was D-list One Tree Hill actor James Lafferty, who I assume is still in One Tree Hill, North Carolina considering his lack of work since.

My coworker and I sandwiched a yoga session in between two days of running this week. The studio is called Satsang Yoga (I love saying this out loud) and we had to leave 15 minutes early to fit everything into our one hour lunch. I do Core Power at home with Amazon Prime, but I haven’t done yoga in a studio since prenatal with this lady that looked, and sounded, like a Viking. I’m surprisingly sore from having someone help twist me into a pretzel, but it felt incredibly refreshing and detoxifying. I might need to switch up my workouts.

My friend told me about the app Color Story yesterday. The free filters are incredible, and there are lots more I want to buy. I added a light flare to the picture below to make it look more realistic.

And a light leak to make this picture I used for my review of January’s Glossy Box more interesting.

I’m looking forward to another relaxing weekend. My husband is working, so I think I’m going to take the baby on a date to the Little Gym so she can burn some energy and then maybe take a nap. I’ve also been dreaming about a long run, so we might try to break my stroller-roller mileage record, which stands steady at 7 miles.

My favorite picture of the baby and I getting ready for work.

Has anyone else tried these Go Macro bars? I can’t stop eating them and they were on sale this week at Whole Foods for 2/4$. They’re vegan and organic and full of delicious and wholesome ingredients. Sunny Uplift is my favorite because it tastes like an oatmeal cookie cherry sandwich and it definitely improves my mood.

Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset

I obviously also can’t get enough Hydroflask gear.

If you missed it, check out this post that my husband wrote about using discounted gift cards to buy everything on sale, all the time. Everything. From diapers and clothes to running gear and groceries.

Have a great weekend!

I’ve never tried Go Macro bars before, but I’m always on the hunt for delicious, healthy new bars so I might check them out!

You should! I’m picky about bars, they usually taste really fake. These are delicious.
