I can finally blog about being pregnant.
I don’t think it’s the hormones, I think it was just my husband being difficult. He had to tell his mom in person. So I had to wait to announce/post anything until we saw her last weekend.
Oh, by the way, I’m 17 weeks pregnant. Yeah, that’s almost HALF WAY.
This is 17 weeks pregnant with your second child (post barre workout):
I’ll write my first official pregnancy post next week. I can’t wait to share some of my favorite pregnancy workouts (I’ve been running, doing barre, spinning and going to yoga), thoughts on my pregnancy diet (diet as in massive food consumption) and how this second pregnancy compares to the first.
Preview: it’s much harder to be pregnant and chasing a toddler. Even if that toddler is ridiculously cute.
My latest thing has been water. If you’ve read my blog, you know that I have weird water issues. I’m very particular about the taste, I don’t like tap water and I have favorite water brands. My first trimester was pretty rough, I had awful morning sickness and very little appetite. It was also really hard to drink water without feeling sick. My skin looked terrible, I had dark circles under my eyes, started breaking out and getting wrinkles. Now that I’m feeling better, I’m focusing on drinking tons and tons of water. Today at work, I drank three liters. I definitely feel the difference, my workouts are improving, I’m less hungry in between meals and my skin has done a complete 360. <–I wrote 360 there and just caught it on my last read through. 180. #pregnancybrain
I did have more than just water this week. We made two incredible dinners, zoodles with heirloom tomatoes, basil and mozzarella cheese and spaghetti squash enchilada bowls. I had to do our grocery shopping at lunch on Tuesday and had about five minutes to come up with a meal plan, so I was incredibly pleased and kind of annoyed that this has been one of my favorite weeks of meals in a while. Maybe I overthink it?
Has anyone else been watching the Mindy Project?! I CAN’T WAIT A FULL WEEK BETWEEN EPISODES! It’s gotten THAT GOOD. Girl has some serious game. I guess she can write in any love interest she wants. It’s her show.
I bought this chapstick in the checkout line of Whole Foods when we were in Virginia Beach last weekend, and it’s my new favorite product. I have no idea what mongongo oil is, but it’s really fun to say.
I also got three Mary’s Gone crackers in one. Piece of cheese for scale.
