McCrady’s Charleston

On Saturday, John and I got tickets to the third opening night of Chef Sean Brock’s restaurant, McCrady’s. And, we found a babysitter. McCrady’s has existed in Charleston in several forms, currently McCrady’s Tavern and, through the wall on the opposite street, the new, more formal, very exclusive vision from the renowned local chef. We’ve lived in the South for three years, and the only restaurant of Brock’s I’ve been to is Minero, the only suitable place to get tacos in Charleston. Thursday Thoughts

For the past two weeks, all I can think about is Indian food. We had the best Indian buffet a block from my old job at San Diego Gas and Electric. My coworkers and I would walk over there at lunch and eat about three meals worth of curried vegetables, curried chicken, curried potatoes, curried cheese thing (I still don’t know what it was, but man, was that GOOD), three baskets of naan and rice pudding. Thursday Thoughts

This week went by super fast. Just kidding. This was the slowest week of my life. It’s because we’re going on a huge vacation all next week…starting with the Super Bowl on Sunday!!!!! Have I already said that? The baby is finally feeling better, which of course means I’m sick. Ain’t nobody got time for that. But, she went to bed early last night, so I got to relax and catch up on Pretty Little Liars with my favorite Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream. If you haven’t tried Three Twins, it’s worth the splurge.
